Eiffel Tower Paris

MyTime in France (again)

I spent four days getting to know Paris again.  I love Paris.  I did make my way up to the very top of the Eiffel Tower this time :) at night which I do recommend.  It is such an incredible view.  I also made  my way again to the Palace of Versailles.  The grounds are so large you can rent a golf cart or take the little train around.  I was able to explore an entirely new section of the gardens.  On my last day in France I visited the Luxembourg Gardens.  This was a highlight for me.  I went on a Sunday when many Parisian families were out enjoying the weather,   It is a very large area with plenty of seating.  Folks sitting around napping, reading, drinking wine and simply enjoying life!

After I left Paris I went to Normandy, Giverny and Caen.  Visiting the gardens that inspired Monet's paintings was very cool.  Walking the beaches of Normandy and visiting the US cemetery was simply extraordinary.  Hard to describe this resting place of so many brave soldiers.  However, the show of respect and gratitude is evident in every detail of the Normandy beaches and cemetery.
